About App Audio Settings - ProStudio
Why can't my app's audio output be routed to ProStudio?
In most cases, if no special configuration is made in your music software, you can simply select the corresponding software in the channel window to route audio into ProStudio channels and fulfill your mixing requirements.
Possible Causes for Routing Failure
1. Audio settings require administrator privileges
If ProStudio is not granted permission to manage audio (specifically administrator privileges), it cannot call Windows system APIs to help configure audio input and output. In this case, you must manually set the audio output of your music software to the target channel in your system settings.

2. The music software manages its own audio output
If the audio output device in your music software is set to Default Output Device, granting system administrator privileges as mentioned above will be sufficient to complete all settings.
However, if you have set the audio output to a specific device within the music software, Windows system audio settings will not take effect. You will need to change the output device back to Default Output Device, such as WASAPI: Default Output Device.
If you intend to route the output of different music software to multiple speaker devices separately, you may disregard this feature.
